Little Footprints Learning Center was established in July 2002 at its current location in Haverhill, MA.  In January 2025, our second location opened in Atkinson, NH.

In 2002, the school was licensed for 20 preschool students, and the children shared one large 900 square foot classroom. With the growing demand for quality infant and toddler programs, in 2004 we expanded to an additional space within the same building, adding new classrooms for infants and toddlers. Over the next few years, we continued to expand and occupy various spaces within the building of the Haverhill location. Our current space we now occupy was really the “sweet” spot for us, allowing classrooms to be centrally located to each other, along with allowing us to have a large, easily accessible outdoor play space for all age groups. We continue to serve children ages infant through preschool, and we are currently licensed for 69 students at our Haverhill location.

In 2025, after several months of renovations, we opened our second location in Atkinson, NH. This location started out serving infants through preschool age children, licensed for 29 children. In the fall of 2026, we transitioned our infant classroom into a young toddler classroom to accomodate the needs of our current families and the many toddler age students we have.

My name is Jen Levy and I am the founder, owner, and director of Little Footprints Learning Center. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years, working locally in Haverhill schools, where I was born and raised. I attended Northern Essex Community College and have my MA EEC Director II certification. I currently reside in Atkinson, NH.

I have always enjoyed the wonderment of children and strive to provide a warm, loving "home away from home" where the children are free to laugh, be themselves, and feel valued. I also feel that it is important to "let kids be kids" and I believe that the outdoors are a big part of the learning and exploration that children need, to make this happen. I have created a program of learning through play because through much research, I have come to understand that it provides the most developmentally appropriate approach to create passion and interest in children, to make them life-long learners.
